DesignFest: Flyers for Caroline Center

Throughout the course of 1-week, I worked with two other designers to create new branding guidelines for Caroline Center. We did this as part of DesignFest, a “hackathon”-esque volunteer event focused on providing design services to non-profits in the Baltimore, MD area.

From speaking to the client we knew the goal of our work was to convey the ideas of women's empowerment, hope, and potential for students who will embark on new healthcare careers through Caroline Center.

As part of this the team created a new brand guide booklet and applied this to several deliverables including a newsletter, website, and annual report.

During this week, my focus was to help the client tell their stories with data.

For this I created two different flyers targeted at their main audiences: 1) Sponsors / Donors and 2) Potential students. These flyers were meant to be used as an online resource or handed out as collateral for tabling events.

The clients were particularly excited about the “Sponsor flyer” with the bold colors and geometric data visualization. They felt that this new way of showcasing the “impact statement” of donations would be a great resource and help answer donors questions about how their donations are making an impact.

In their own words:

“DesignFest was amazing for our organization and helped us with our branding and a new way to showcase and present Caroline Center. The design team was amazing and really took what our mission was and created beautiful informative branding for us!”
